Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is optimistic about a win for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 election.
However, he subtly jabbed Civil Society Organisations indicating that he believes that the win will also revive some lost voices in social commentary and activism
The NDC flagbearer who has been touring parts of the Greater Accra Region, indicated that currently, there are only praise singers regardless of the ills the current government is involved in.
To him, that should not have been the case because it is the only truth that will propel this country to the level everyone wants.
“I know NDC will win the 2024 elections. However, when we win, people who have toothaches and cannot speak against the ills of the current government will start to get their voices back. Hypocrisy is what is pulling this nation back. If we see the truth, if it is black, it is black, if it is white it is white, it doesn’t matter who is in office. We must be truthful at all times,” he said.
