Former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has reminded the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government that Ghanaians are still under pressure
He further called on the government to lower political tensions and focus on national healing.
According to him, Ghana has been through difficult moments and urged leaders to act in ways that reassure citizens.
“Ghana has been through a lot. Our people are still under lots of pressure.”
He cautioned against actions that could deepen divisions, stating, “This is not the time for retribution, intimidation, or the settling of political scores,” he during his Thanksgiving Service.
“That is why I’ll like to also use this sacred moment to appeal, respectfully and firmly, to the government of the day,” he said.
Dr Bawumia stressed the need for unity and inclusive governance.
“It is time to lower the temperature, heal the nation, and govern in a way that reassures every Ghanaian that they are safe, respected, and valued, regardless of how they voted,” he added.
