I hope to continue these performances at the World Cup – Benjamin Asare

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare says he wants to keep playing well and help Ghana at the 2026 World Cup.

He spoke after another strong performance on Sunday. He helped Hearts of Oak beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 in the Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Baba Adamu scored with a header in the first half.

Hearts of Oak later played with ten men after Emmanuel Amankwah was given a red card. But they still held on to win.

Asare has already played well in the World Cup qualifiers and friendly matches. Now he wants to keep that form going into the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

“I hope to continue these performances at the World Cup,” Asare told Asempa FM.

“It was a good game against Asante Kotoko, but we were determined to win and take revenge.”
