Nsarkoh calls for bipartisan focus on long-term growth

Business executive and former Unilever Executive Vice President, Yaw Nsarkoh has also expressed concern about the nature of political debate in Ghana’s Parliament.

He questioned whether meaningful discussions about long-term development are taking place across party lines. “But where is this debate happening in Parliament?” he asked.

According to him, political actors appear more focused on electoral advantage than structural transformation.

“No, they are all standing there trying to guilt-trip each other and think about how I can win power the next time, so that I’m the one who is appointing people,” he said on Joy News.

Nsarkoh called for a more collaborative approach to national progress.

“So serious development talk on a bipartisan basis, I am asking, where is it happening?” he queried.
