Ministry of Foreign affairs denies approval of DVLA services abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana, has denied claims that it approved the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to provide driving license registration and renewal services for Ghanaians living abroad.

Reports suggesting that DVLA staff would travel to countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany are false.

The Ministry stated that it has neither issued a directive to diplomatic missions abroad nor granted approval to any entity for such an arrangement.

It added that there is no new government policy to that effect, and no formal engagement or financial commitment exists to support the claim.
