The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted to the war between Iran, Israel and US.
In a statement dated 28 February 2026, the Ministry said it is “closely monitoring with serious concern” the hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which have led to airspace closures and security alerts across parts of the region.
Government called on all parties to “exercise restraint and return to diplomatic engagement.” Ghanaian nationals have been advised to avoid non-essential travel and those in affected countries to remain indoors, avoid large gatherings, and follow local directives.
The Ministry added that “an emergency preparedness plan has been activated,” with some staff evacuated from Ghana’s Embassy in Tehran while essential personnel remain to assist citizens.
