Minority’s attire won’t change the facts in Mahama’s Address – Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Government Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has downplayed the significance of the Minority’s choice of attire during the State of the Nation Address held last Friday, insisting that symbolism cannot alter the substance of President John Mahama’s message.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Kwakye Ofosu argued that political theatrics should not distract from the real issues affecting Ghanaians.

Addressing the matter directly, he said, “The Minority can choose to wear blue, purple, red, green, or any attire they want; that will not change President Mahama’s words in the State of the Nation Address delivered in Parliament.”

According to him, what ultimately matters is not optics but impact.

Emphasizing this point, he stated, “The most important thing is how it reflects in the lives of Ghanaians.”

Kwakye Ofosu maintained that measurable outcomes, not political gestures, should form the basis of public evaluation.

Highlighting specific indicators, he said, “It is the facts that are important. The benefits we are experiencing now are what matter, inflation, reduction in fuel prices, and reduction in the prices of commodities, among others.”

He concluded by reiterating that the opposition’s clothing choices neither add to nor subtract from the content of the President’s address.

Reinforcing his stance, he added, “The colour the opposition chooses to wear does not add or remove anything from what President Mahama said.
