We want young people to choose their own path – Malik Basintale

Boss of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale has outlined the agency’s new focus on skill development and empowering young people to determine their own career paths.

Speaking to reporters, Basintale said the agency does not intend to push every beneficiary into a predetermined role.

“We don’t want to force everybody to become a community police assistant, and we don’t want to force everybody to become what we want the person to become,” he explained.

He encouraged young Ghanaians to approach the agency with their personal aspirations, promising support to help turn those dreams into reality.

“Come to us at the Youth Employment Agency, and we’ll support your dreams.

“That is how we’re going to grow the country so that you don’t push people like sheep into a house,” Basintale added.
