A Nigerian woman based in London, Louisa Louis Michael, has shared her views on relationships where women earn more than their partners.
In a social media post, Louisa argued that women who marry men with significantly lower financial standing may face challenges in the relationship.
According to her, such situations can sometimes lead to resentment and emotional strain.
She claimed that when a woman builds financial stability but chooses a partner who is struggling economically, the relationship may become difficult over time.
“The moment as a woman you decide to marry a man who is below your financial status, you are in for a long thing,” she wrote.
Louisa further suggested that some men who receive financial support from their partners may later leave once they become financially secure.
She also cautioned women against lowering their standards in relationships, saying that those standards often exist for a reason.
