Policy analyst Dr. Steve Manteaw has deleted posts suggesting that the president of Ghana has approved the sale of lands in Cantonment.

On Sunday, March 23, 2026, Dr. Steve Manteaw, in a series of posts shared via social media, indicated that the president had disappointed him.

According to him, the president, after vowing not to sell state lands, has okayed the sale of state lands in Cantonment.

He says the sale was blocked earlier after the late Murtala Mohammed rejected bribes to the tune of $500,000.

However, after his demise, some government appointees have gone to take the bribe and have pushed through for a businessman to get access to the lands.

However, after several hours of sharing the post, the once vociferous analyst and critic of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration’s sale of state lands deleted the series of posts he shared.
