A Nigerian woman has shared the painful collapse of her 15-year marriage after discovering that her husband, a pastor, is gay.
She revealed her story in a letter read on Aremu TV, describing how a routine glance at his phone turned her world upside down.
“I was going through my husband’s phone yesterday, and I found messages from his best friend. At first I couldn’t believe it.
“Then I saw pictures of them together, kissing and doing everything lovers do,” she said. The discovery left her in shock, and when she confronted him, he allegedly beat her.
The woman explained that her husband later sent her a message asking for a divorce. “Mind you, we have three children and a home we built over 15 years. He’s also a pastor,” she said.
Aremu, the presenter who read the letter, urged the woman not to try to reconcile. “You confronted him, he beat you, and he asked for divorce.
There’s no sense in talking to him. Move out with your children, gather his family members in a WhatsApp group, and share the evidence. The marriage is over,” he said.
