UP is the only opposition party that fights another opposition party – Awal Mohammed

Awal Mohammed, a Communications Team Member of the NPP, has accused United Party (UP) communicators of being driven by resentment after leaving the NPP, arguing that this “bitterness” now shapes their conduct on political discussion platforms.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile, he said the pattern is visible in how some of these figures engage in debates, insisting their criticism of the NPP is not purely political but emotional.

“They left because of bitterness, that is why everywhere you see them, they come after the NPP,” he said.

He argued that this behaviour has also led to unusual tensions within opposition circles, where, in his view, some actors spend more time attacking each other than focusing on the governing party.

“Since 1992, they are the only group in opposition who are fighting another opposition group,” he added.
