Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed that she chose not to undergo further medical testing after receiving worrying reports about her unborn child.
The singer said doctors recommended additional examinations after raising concerns during a scan in Canada. However, she and her husband decided against proceeding with the tests.
“I said, okay, I have a priest that the Lord gave me. Let me call my husband,” she recounted.
According to Judikay, her husband’s response was immediate.
“He said, ‘You will not go for any test.’”
She said she followed his advice.
“So I tore the slip.”
Rather than focus on the medical reports, the couple turned their attention to prayer and thanksgiving.
“And then we entered hours of thanksgiving every day. We would just be giving God thanks.”
Judikay said both she and her husband continued to make positive declarations about their unborn child despite the concerns they had been presented with.
“My husband would say, ‘We received an excellent child. We received a perfect child.’”
