Govt must use every lawful avenue – Hamza Adam on pursuing Ken Ofori-Atta

Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Hamza Adam, had said he expects the government to continue exploring all legal options available in its efforts to get former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to respond to matters under investigation.

The MP stressed that any action taken must follow due process and remain within the bounds of the law.

“I want to believe that the government will still take some initiative to go through whatever lawful processes are available to pursue the former Finance Minister,” he said.

According to him, public officials must be prepared to answer questions about their time in office when called upon to do so.

“He should come and account to the people,” Hamza Adam stated.

The MP also suggested that members of the opposition should encourage cooperation if they are confident there is nothing to conceal.

“I believe that our friends from the other side will also try and pull the right strings. If they have nothing to hide, he should come back and account to the good people of Ghana,” he said.

Hamza Adam expressed confidence that the matter would ultimately be handled through the appropriate legal channels.

“The right procedure will be followed, and then he will come and account to Ghana,” he added.
