Finance Analyst, Senyo Hosi has stated that characters like Ken Ofori-Atta should not come close to public office.
Ken Ofori-Atta has been granted stay in USA after his immigration hearing.
His lawyers who made this known said he was granted stay in an immigration case and had nothing to do with criminal charges leveled against him by the Ghana government.
Speaking on Accra-based TV3, Senyo Hosi noted that it will be imperative that the former finance minister comes back t account for his stewardship.
To him, for someone who has been running away from accountability. Such a character should never come near any public office.
”We deserve closure, we deserve accountability, we deserve respect for the constitutional promise of accountability and probity. When you leave office you should subject yourself to probity and accountability.
When you administered the most significant and consequential economic crisis of the country and you choose to run away it is dishonorable, it is not respect, it is worthy of the white he wears.
He will do himself and his whole family some good by subjecting himself accountability and purging himself of all the things accusations around his governance and his time in office. He may be exiting it nice lot by using legal tactics to leave but this is not public service in any shape or form and characters like this should never come close to public office again, they will run away,” he stated.
