Actor Ray Emodi has apologised to fans for the way he announced his break from acting, saying he understands the disappointment it caused among his supporters.
He said the reaction from the public made him realise how closely people followed his work.
“I know I amassed a certain following from being an actor,” he said. “One day I just said I’m not acting again, and it felt like I switched things on people. I’m sorry for that.”
He described the announcement as something he did without fully considering its effect on his audience.
“I would like to apologise to my supporters. I didn’t mean to keep you guys like that,” he said in a video shared on YouTube.
Emodi added that going forward, he intends to manage his career decisions more carefully.
“I’ll handle things better so it doesn’t get overwhelming again,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation for his fans and their continued support.
“It means a lot to me that people actually enjoy my movies and connect with my work,” he said.
