I have not received any notice of Carlos Queiroz leaving Ghana – Black Stars Assistant Coach

Black Stars assistant coach Roger De Sa has suggested that Carlos Queiroz is still the head coach of Ghana’s senior national team despite reports about the Portuguese coach’s future.

Queiroz took over from Otto Addo on a short-term deal before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After Ghana were eliminated from the tournament, he appeared to suggest that he was leaving his role after posting on social media that he was leaving with pride.

However, the 73-year-old later said in a social media interview that he had not officially resigned from his position.

De Sa, who joined Ghana’s technical team before the World Cup, said he has not received any official message confirming that Queiroz has left. He believes the Portuguese coach is still in charge.

“I don’t know if that’s official [that Carlos Queiroz has left], I have only seen it on social media. But I don’t think that is from him because he would have told me if that’s the case,” De Sa said in an interview with KickOff.
