Manchester United are close to signing Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa after both clubs entered advanced talks over the transfer.
According to The Athletic, all sides want to complete the deal as quickly as possible.
Tielemans played for Belgium at the 2026 World Cup, where they were knocked out by Spain last weekend.
The 29-year-old is now expected to continue his club career at Old Trafford next season.
Manchester United decided to go for Tielemans after their move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson failed.
The Red Devils were not happy with the results of Ederson’s medical tests and decided not to continue with the transfer.
