Dennis Miracles Aboagye has called on the government to provide an update on its post-flood mitigation plans and the promised GHC300 million relief package, hours after his release from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
In a post shared on social media, the New Patriotic Party’s Director of Communications shifted attention to the government’s response to victims of the recent floods.
“Whiles at it, we remind the useless NDC Government to update us (victims of flood) about the post flood mitigation committee and how they plan to forestall further floods. And oh, we still await the 300million relief package. #Frakadam,” he wrote.
Mr Aboagye was released after being held by EOCO as part of investigations into alleged financial and procurement irregularities linked to his tenure as former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation.
His latest comments focus on the government’s response to the June 29 floods, particularly the implementation of measures announced to prevent future flooding and provide support for affected residents.
