Maybe if Carlos Queiroz stays around for some time, our team will improve – Maxwell Konadu

Ghanaian coach Maxwell Konadu has backed Carlos Queiroz to remain as head coach of the Black Stars after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced Portuguese coach was appointed on a short-term contract after Otto Addo was sacked. He was brought in to lead Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to TV3, Maxwell Konadu said he supports the decision to keep Queiroz. He believes the coach will improve discipline in the Black Stars.

The former Kotoko coach said better discipline is important if the Black Stars want to improve.

“We have seen what he can do. Maybe if he stays around for some time, our team will improve. For me, discipline will improve in the team, and that is what we need in Black Stars currently. When discipline is there, the team will play well,” Maxwell Konadu said.
