They Saw My Work And Invested – A&C Mall Boss On IFC Deal

Founder of A&C Mall, Dr. Andrew Kwabena Asamoah, says the International Finance Corporation (IFC) only agreed to finance his business after witnessing the progress he had already made through self-financing.

Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, Dr. Asamoah said the international financial institution inspected the completed phases of the mall, reviewed his financial records and was impressed by the manner in which the project had been executed.

“After we finished the three phases of A&C, I went to IFC. They came down to see what I had done, asked me how much I was owing, and I explained how I had done it on my own,” he said.

According to him, the institution subsequently decided to support the project, marking the beginning of a partnership that has lasted about eight years.

“Since then, I have had the IFC fully behind me in all the things I do, and they are very satisfied with the way I work with them,” he stated.

Dr. Asamoah said the relationship with IFC has gone beyond access to finance, noting that the institution has also provided technical expertise and strategic guidance to strengthen his business.

“One thing I like about the IFC is that it is not only the money they are giving, but they are also giving the ideas to work with,” he added.
