Former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwa, has revealed that while the funeral was ongoing in Kumasi, Daddy Lumba’s remains had already been escorted to Accra.
He explains that they had picked up intelligence that some persons wanted to cause disruptions.
The former legislator explained that the police were made to handle the disruptors, who he says were cut off when they got to Ejisu.
“When we were bringing him to Kumasi, he was brought in two limousines. Some people were sent to cause disruptions during the procession, so when we got to Ejisu, we made sure the Police cut off the bad nuts who were following, and they escorted his body back to Accra. So while we were in Kumasi for his funeral, Daddy Lumba’s body was already in Accra,” he told the media a year after the demise of the music icon.
Daddy Lumba died on July 26, 2025, after a short illness. His death brought about a family feud which is still ongoing.
