Two Argentine players hired private security firms to protect their homes in the UK after Argentina defeated England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to The Sun, the players are Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez and Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The two players had security officers watching over their homes for two days as emotions remained high after Argentina’s dramatic World Cup victory over England.
The report said there were no attempts to damage Martinez’s or Mac Allister’s properties.
Argentina came from behind to beat England 2-1 in the World Cup semi-final match played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Anthony Gordon gave England the lead before Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez scored to help Argentina complete the comeback and reach victory.
