Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken directly with Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior about a possible move to the Premier League champions this summer.
According to AS, Arteta told Vinicius Jr that he would be the main player in his plans at Arsenal.
The 26-year-old would have the team built around him if he joins the club.
Arsenal are ready to pay up to €150 million to sign the Brazilian forward.
Vinicius Jr returned to Madrid on Monday for pre-season training and completed medical checks with the LaLiga club.
The forward is expected to meet with Real Madrid officials this week to discuss his future.
Vinicius Jr is in the final months of his current contract with Los Blancos.
