He possesses special qualities as footballer – VfL Osnabruck coach hails Daniel Kofi Kyereh

VfL Osnabrück head coach Timo Schultz has praised Ghana international Daniel Kofi Kyereh after the 30-year-old completed a move to the German club.

Kyereh has joined Osnabrück on a free transfer after a long spell on the sidelines because of injury. The move also reunites him with Schultz, who previously coached him at FC St. Pauli.

Kyereh enjoyed the best period of his career in Germany under Schultz. During his two seasons at St. Pauli, the versatile attacker scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists in 62 2. Bundesliga appearances.

Schultz believes Kyereh can make a big difference for Osnabrück once he returns to full fitness.

“I know from our collaboration what special qualities Kofi possesses as a footballer and as a person. He was an absolute difference-maker at St. Pauli and earned his performances through his footballing ability, but also through a great deal of hard work,” Schultz said.
