The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the schedule for its national elections scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026.
At a press conference announcing the schedule, Chairman of the election committee Hon. Opare Ansah indicated that nominations will be opened at the party’s headquarters for all interested persons to contest for national positions from August 17 to August 22.
From 23rd to 27th August, interested members will be given the opportunity to file their nominations.
Vetting of the persons interested in the various positions will take place from 31st August to September 3, 2026.
The vetting committee is expected to release their report on September 5, 2026. However, persons who may be aggrieved by decisions taken by the vetting committee will have the opportunity to appeal from September 6-7.
On 10th September, the National Executive Council and National Executive Committee will meet on the issues emanating from the processes before the major conference to be held on October 3, 2026.
