GBC Bank has denied reports suggesting that the police had foiled a robbery attempt at the Bank’s branch at Labone.
The police had earlier in the day announced that they had foiled an armed robbery attack on the bank’s branch in Labone.
The statement said two of the armed robbers had been gunned down while one had been arrested by their personnel.
But a statement from GCB Bank indicated that no such robbery attempt had taken place at their branch in Labone.
They assured customers that the branch remains safe with robust security measures in place to protect life and property.
