Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson says Ghana’s main goal at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is to finally advance beyond the group stage.
Ghana have never reached the knockout stage in their seven previous appearances at the competition. The upcoming tournament in Poland gives the team another chance to make history.
The Black Princesses have been preparing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram since July 5.
Sampson is pleased with the team’s progress and says they will take the tournament one game at a time.
“We want to assure Ghanaians we are going to give our best and progress from the group stage and take it game after game. The main focus is to make it past the group stage for the first time,” he said.
