Hon Salifu Saeed, the former Northern Regional Minister and Senior Political Advisor to the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on party delegates to ensure that the conference concludes peacefully and successfully.
Mr Saeed revealed that adequate resources have been provided to regional election committees to ensure that the conference is conducted successfully.
According to him, the party needs a peaceful and formidable team ahead of the 2028 general election.
He noted that the Northern Region is the home ground of the NPP’s Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and that for that reason, the party should set a good example for the rest of the regions.
“We don’t want any impression that even the Flagbearer’s home ground is not safe, and so I urge party people to conduct themselves well,” he said.
He appealed to the media to assist the election committee in conducting the elections peacefully.
“You can notify us, the committee members, when you see any suspicious activities on the grounds, for us to take the necessary action,” he stated.
