Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has announced that he will have a one month leave of absence next month.
He made this known to the Occupant of the Silver Stool, Daasebre Osei Bonsu III, at a Kumasi Traditional Council meeting on August 17, 2026.
The King is expected to visit the United States of America in the coming days after which he will take his leave.
“I will be away for two weeks. Asanteman is in your care during the period. The trip is packed with a lot of activities from the first day,” he said.
