Ex-NPP Members Flocking Back — Because of Me – Dr Okoe-Boye

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye, says his election has encouraged some people who had withdrawn from active politics to consider returning to the party, describing the development as the beginning of reconciliation within the NPP.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Dr. Okoe-Boye said he had received indications from people who had previously decided to leave politics that they were now prepared to return and contribute to the party’s activities.

“People who had decided to leave politics are now saying they are coming back because of me as the NPP Greater Accra Regional Chairman. This is where reconciliation begins,” he said.

He said he views his new position not merely as a political office but as an opportunity to learn, contribute to the development of the country, and build stronger relationships within the party.

“I see this position as an avenue to learn a lot and also do lots of things to help the people of Ghana,” he stated.

Dr. Okoe-Boye also emphasised his commitment to developing people he works with, saying he believes in creating opportunities for others to grow alongside him.

“Everybody who I work with, I make sure I establish them and I want to grow the family,” he said.

While acknowledging that challenges are likely to emerge in the course of his tenure, the Regional Chairman-Elect said he remains enthusiastic about the responsibility because he has a clear understanding of the direction he wants to take.

“I know challenges would come, but I am still excited because I am clear on where we are going,” he added.
