Prophet Kwabena Okumdom has predicted the return of former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, saying he will return to active politics and help lead Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign for the 2028 presidential election.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Prophet Okumdom said Wontumi would return to work for the NPP within six months and play a significant role in the party’s efforts to win the 2028 election.
“Wontumi is coming back very soon, by six months, and he is coming to work for the NPP,” he stated.
He urged NPP supporters to remain hopeful, linking Wontumi’s expected return to the party’s prospects under Dr. Bawumia.
“So all the supporters should be hopeful,” he said.
Prophet Okumdom further claimed that Wontumi would be released by February, although the precise circumstances of the anticipated release were not explained.
He maintained that Wontumi’s return would strengthen the NPP’s campaign as the party prepares for the 2028 presidential election, which he has already predicted Dr. Bawumia will win.
