Nigerian self-styled relationship expert Geh Geh has advised men to protect themselves in relationships even when they trust their partners, arguing that people can change with time.
Speaking in a video shared on X, Geh Geh said men should not assume that a relationship will always remain the same simply because their partner has been good to them for years.
“You can trust people and still protect yourself. A woman can be good to you for five years, make she turn against you in the sixth year. Na so life just be,” he said.
He also used the experiences of some footballers who have gone through divorce and lost part of their wealth and properties to argue that love and trust alone do not guarantee protection when a relationship ends.
“There was a time love dey, trust dey; them love their self, them trust their self. And for that reason they failed to protect themselves and they paid the price,” he stated.
Geh Geh further cautioned men against treating relationships as though they were scenes from a movie.
“You feel say life na Nollywood? Life no be Nollywood. You can trust people and still protect yourself,” he added.
