A member of the Government Communication Team, Haruna Amaliba Kingsley has questioned the financial details surrounding Frontier Healthcare Services Limited’s COVID-19 testing contract at Ghana’s airports.
Amaliba said the public was not given sufficient information about the scope of the contract or how it was eventually concluded.
“Because Frontier Healthcare Services Limited COVID testing at the airport, we didn’t know the scope of that contract and how it ended to date. They never told us, they never disclosed to us,” he said on GTV.
Amaliba claimed that the company made almost $100 million during the period, while Ghana received only $3 million.
He wondered what happened to the remaining amount.
“They made almost $100 million and Ghana benefited only $3 million,” he said.
He further claimed that the balance went to individuals connected to those involved in the arrangement.
“The rest went to family and friends’ pockets,” Amaliba alleged.
