Newly promoted FC Ashantigold will be looking for their first Ghana Premier League win when they host Vision FC at the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Ashantigold began their return to the top flight with a 1-1 draw away to fellow newcomers Port City FC. After taking the lead in the first half, they had to settle for a point. They will now hope to turn their good start into three points in their first home game.
Their confidence will be boosted by their strong home record in last season’s Division One League campaign.
Ashantigold went unbeaten in all 15 home league games, winning 12 and drawing three. They scored 30 goals and conceded only 10. Coach Abdul Karim Zito will hope his team can take that strong home form into the Premier League.
Vision FC travel to Obuasi full of confidence after starting their campaign with a 3-0 win over Young Apostles. The Tema-based side have now gone unbeaten in their last three opening-day league games and kept clean sheets in all three matches.
Their away record also makes them a tough opponent. Vision FC finished as the seventh-best away team in the league last season and ended their previous campaign on the road with a 1-0 win over Nations FC.
They will now be hoping to record back-to-back away wins in the Premier League for the first time since gaining promotion to the top flight in the 2024/25 season.
