Basketmouth has reflected on his journey as he celebrated his birthday, saying the experiences he has had over the years have brought him to a place of gratitude, growth and peace.
The Nigerian comedian, born on September 14, 1978, said his journey has not always been easy or straightforward, but he remains grateful to God for seeing him through the different stages of his life.
“The journey has been interesting, sometimes confusing. I’ve experienced great times and some interesting times. But through it all, God has remained faithful and merciful,” he wrote.
Basketmouth whose real name is Bright Okpocha, said he appreciates both the lessons he has understood and those he is still trying to make sense of.
“I’m grateful for the lessons, the growth, the moments I understand, and even the ones I still don’t,” he added.
He also said he would not change his journey because it eventually led him to where he is today, including the people around him, the love he has found and the peace he has always wanted.
“I honestly wouldn’t change the journey, because somehow, it brought me exactly where I am today. To the people I’m with, the love I’ve found, and the peace I’ve always longed for,” he said.
