Bawumia Will Not Become President of Ghana – MP

NDC Member of Parliament for Madina, Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, has declared that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will not become President of Ghana.

Speaking in a video shared by Metro TV, Sosu said Bawumia should abandon any presidential ambition, arguing that he lacks the capacity to lead the country.

“I will tell Dr Bawumia that he should retire. He should not think of harbouring any presidential ambition because he will not become the President of Ghana,” Sosu said.

The Madina MP also criticised Bawumia over his record as Vice President and his role in the previous NPP administration, particularly its handling of the economy.

Sosu argued that Bawumia cannot distance himself from the challenges of the Akufo-Addo administration after serving as Vice President and being associated with the government’s economic management.

He maintained that the former Vice President’s political record does not support his ambition to lead Ghana.

Sosu further said Ghanaians had rejected what he described as the NPP’s rhetoric in favour of what he considers more stable governance under the current NDC administration.

According to him, Bawumia should therefore reconsider any plans to seek the presidency in the future.

“I don’t think he has the capacity to lead this country, and I think he should retire and not think of harbouring any presidential ambition,” he added.
