SDA Church Calls for Special Prayers for Salomay Baffoe Awiti

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has appealed to its congregations to hold special prayers for Salomay Baffoe Awiti, a senior nursing officer in Techiman who has reportedly been remanded in police custody.

In a letter to all churches, the church urged members to dedicate time during worship services on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to pray for Awiti, her family and others involved in the matter.

The church described Awiti as a staunch member and called on members to approach the case with love, compassion and confidentiality while avoiding speculation about matters that have not been established.

“Let us stand together as one church family and lift Sister Salomay Baffoe Awiti before the throne of grace,” the statement said.
