Woman who battled 15 years of barrenness loses newborn hours after birth

A woman who battled 15 years of barrenness has announced the death of her newborn baby, hours after giving birth on September 23, 2026.

Achungo Nyar Essy shared the heartbreaking news in a social media post, saying she gave birth at 11:46 a.m. but lost the child.

Essy said she was struggling to understand why her baby died shortly after arriving, adding that she would not question God despite her pain.

“Today I won’t question God. I will just cry and say… It is well,” she wrote.

She named the baby Jibriell Kamau and asked her late sister, Prim, to watch over the child.

The bereaved mother said the loss had left her with pain and sorrow after waiting 15 years to have a child.

“What I remain with today is a scar, pain, and sorrow,” she wrote.

Essy described the baby as a miracle and said she would continue to love the child despite the loss.

“For 15 yrs I was barren, you came and my world knew, Jesus is still a miracle worker. I don’t know why you left as soon as you came, but God has the answers my prince,” she wrote.

“I will love you today and forever my love,” she added.
