Swedru All Blacks continued their strong run against Asante Kotoko with a dramatic 1-0 win at the Swedru Stadium on Saturday. The victory marked their third straight win over the Porcupine Warriors.
Wiafe Darkwah scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the closing moments of the match. He beat Kotoko goalkeeper Dari Aziz to give the Black Magicians all three points.
Despite conceding late, Aziz was one of Kotoko’s best players. He made several important saves to keep his team in the game, but his efforts could not prevent another defeat against Swedru All Blacks.
The home side had more of the ball, enjoying 65 per cent possession compared to Kotoko’s 35 per cent. Swedru All Blacks also won 12 corners, while Kotoko failed to win any.
