Former presidential candiatae, Hassan Ayariga has predicted that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be consumed by internal conflicts within the next year, blaming some government officials for undermining President John Mahama’s administration.
He said although Mahama was performing well, some individuals within the government were destroying its progress through their actions.
“President Mahama is performing. Some people are destroying,” Ayariga said.
Using a truck analogy, he accused some individuals of taking money without contributing to the resources needed to keep the government running.
“The driver doesn’t even know where he’s going because the mate is taking the money and not buying fuel for the truck. So one day, the truck will stop,” he said on Metro TV.
Ayariga added that while the driver was doing his job, the mate was collecting money instead of providing the resources needed to keep the vehicle moving.
He predicted that the situation would lead to a standstill, warning that the NDC would fight among itself within the next year.
