Elon Musk forced to reveal real owners of X

Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has attracted significant attention with the revelation of notable investors like Bill Ackman and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

This revelation is part of a compelling legal dispute involving former employees of X, who are seeking arbitration fees following Musk’s acquisition of the platform. This engaging narrative is sure to captivate our readers.

A federal judge in California recently made a significant decision, ordering the unsealing of X’s investor list, which had previously been kept confidential under the company’s routine practices and policies. This development is crucial for our readers to stay informed.

The unsealing of X’s investor list has brought to light a diverse group of nearly 100 stakeholders, further highlighting the social media giant’s broad support.

The list includes prominent investment figures, such as Fidelity, linked to X through almost 30 separate entities.

This follows earlier filings indicating a significant drop in the company’s valuation since Musk’s takeover.

Among the newly revealed investors is the Pershing Square Foundation, associated with Pershing Square Holdings, founded by billionaire investor Bill Ackman.

Although the foundation operates independently, Ackman and his wife, Neri Oxman, are co-trustees. Ackman is an active user of X, frequently engaging with other high-profile individuals and raising public issues, including debates with Shark Tank star Mark Cuban and critiques of Harvard University’s leadership.

Oracle founder Larry Ellison is also listed as an investor through the Lawrence J. Ellison Revocable Trust, which manages his assets and estate.

Interestingly, despite holding a stake in X, Ellison’s platform usage has been sparse, with only two posts since joining—one in 2012 and another in 2023.

Additionally, Sean Combs Capital appears on the list. While no direct SEC filings link the company to Combs, the business has been connected to the American rapper and entrepreneur Diddy, who has been involved in various ventures under his birth name.

These disclosures offer new insights into the range of stakeholders backing X as it navigates legal and operational challenges under Musk’s ownership.
