Renowned Highlife artist Kwabena Kwabena has expressed his disappointment over what he describes as a lack of appreciation for his contributions to the Ghanaian music industry.
The ‘Aso’ hitmaker revealed that while his music has touched many lives, he has not received the recognition or support he truly deserves in an interview on Starr FM with Bola Ray.
“My music has inspired many, but I was never appreciated. I have dedicated years of my life to creating timeless music, yet I feel like my efforts are taken for granted,” he said.
Kwabena Kwabena noted that Ghana has a history of neglecting its musical legends, only celebrating them when it is too late.
“This is the same country that waits until you are gone before they honour you. While you are alive, they won’t even recognize your efforts,” he added.
