The King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is of the view that the Black Stars is now a disgrace.
He has therefore urged the Sports Minister, Kofi Iddi Adams, to ensure that the Black Stars return to their glory days.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has warned against the selection of players based on the interest of a few individuals rather than competence.
The revered also urged the Sports Minister to ensure that the best hands are picked as Technical people to help the Black Stars.
“If you have taken over power, ensure that the Black Stars are restored to their glory because they are disgracing us. We should take a good technical team and ensure that the best quality players are picked to help us get back to our glory days. Anytime we lose, the country gets dejected so something needs to be done about it. I trust that you can do that,” he said.
