The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has told its members to exercise restraint as it engages the new government on an importation tax waiver agreed with the previous government.
The Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government commenced the implementation of a tax waiver on vehicle importation as part of the condition of service for Doctors.
However, the implementation of the process has stalled after the new government took over.
In a letter sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the Ghana Medical Association has urged its members to remain calm as they engage the new government.
The Association says it has been in contact with the government with deliberations still ongoing to ensure that the waiver is implemented for Doctors in the country.
The letter also urged people who have the means to pay for their duties and all associated charges to avoid the accumulation of charges and subsequent confiscation of their vehicles.
