Ghanaian musician Patapaa, born Justice Amoah, has confirmed the death of his mother.
The artiste shared the news on social media, expressing grief over the loss. “My heart is heavy. My love, my mother, and my world. Rest in perfect peace till we meet in heaven again,” he wrote.
Before Patapaa’s confirmation, the information was shared by Winneba-based media personality Emmanuel Kwesi Aboagye Essibu, known professionally as DJ Linguist.
In his post, he expressed condolences, writing, “Ghanaian musician Patapaa loses his mum. My condolences to Patapaa and the family.”
The post included a purported screenshot of Patapaa’s WhatsApp status, which showed a photo of his mother with an inscription that read, “Oh God, my life is gone. Life is not easy. God save your soul, amen.”
Patapaa is a Ghanaian musician best known for his 2017 breakout song One Corner, which brought him national recognition.
