Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has lamented about the state of the party following its recent electoral defeat.
On Joy FM’s Super Morning, the NPP expressed concern over what he described as weak leadership and a lack of internal democracy.
“I won’t say the party is doomed, but the leadership at the moment is leading the party into destruction,” he said.
“There are no internal democracy and no fair play. This is very dangerous.”
According to Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, factionalism has now taken root within the NPP, threatening its unity and future electoral prospects.
“These are the very things that destroy political parties,” he noted, stressing the urgent need for credible and transparent primaries.
He argued that a strong and united party can only emerge if members are actively involved in decision-making.
“The party must go back to the grassroots, listen to their concerns, and allow the broader population to understand why we lost,” Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe said.
