The High Court in Wa on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, sentenced Shariff Abdulai, also known as ‘Cristos,’ to life imprisonment for the murder of Issah Yahaya and 22 other individuals.
The convict admitted to killing sixteen people in Wa, five in Bole, and one each in Banda Nkwanta and Bamboi.
Shariff Abdulai was arrested on October 6, 2025, following intelligence-led operations and sustained police investigations.
He was subsequently arraigned before the High Court after committal from the District Magistrate Court. Represented by legal counsel, he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Presiding over the case, His Lordship Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi sentenced the convict to life imprisonment with hard labour. He is to serve his sentence at Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
