I’ve been told NDC doesn’t owe me for openly supporting the party—Mzbel

Musician and an ardent supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mzbel has disclosed that after several complaints about not being supported by her own government, she has been told she was not forced to join the party.

According to her, she has been told that her support for the NDC, especially in the 2024 campaign season, was voluntary and that the party does not owe her any favors.

She says as a result of this, she has had to go back to her career so that she can fend for herself and her family.

“I was told that I was not forced to support the NDC and that my support was voluntary, and so they do not owe me any favours.

I have learned lessons that will live with me for a very long time. Even in the past, when NPP was in power, I had some benefits. It is worrying that if the benefits I had were 100%, I’ve lost all because I openly campaigned for one side. Today I have learned, and that will equip me to counsel my colleagues who want to join politics,” she said on UTV.
