In a detailed interview on Good Morning Ghana monitored by MyNewsGh, pollster Mussa Dankwah explained the methodology behind Global Info Analytics’ recent tracking poll.
The poll surveyed 12,472 voters using face-to-face interviews (60%), telephone (13%), and online methods (19%).
Dankwah said the face-to-face component remains largest because “most voters are not on telephone, they cannot be reached on the internet.”
The survey also captured demographic information. Voters aged 35 to 44 represented the largest group at 36%, while youth aged 18 to 24 made up 7%, and those aged 25 to 34 accounted for 34%. “
About 78% of voters are below 44, which has a profound implication on elections,” he noted.
Education levels showed SHS and tertiary holders at 35% each, with 17% having JSS, and 13% without formal qualifications.
Employment status indicated 64% employed, 24% unemployed, 11% students, and 2% pensioners.
Dankwah highlighted that this demographic distribution matches observed voting trends and ensures the poll reflects the population’s true preferences.
